About Panagia Tourliani Monastery

This beautiful monastery is situated 8km from Chora in the southeast end of Ano Mera. It is named after the dome (tourlos) of the church and the blessed Icon of the Virgin Mary.

The bell tower, the intricately decorated marble fountain in the yard and the beautiful Florentine wood-carved chancel screen are several of the exceptional features of the monastery. There is also an exhibit of religious artifacts and ecclesiastical gems.

Mykonos' most important festival takes place here on 15 August.
